Dessert Cafe Singapore - Kosnica Cafe ( A beautiful and lovely place of warmth)

Omg I'm going to post about my 1st cafe again... you've already guessed it right? Yup, you are right, it's Kosnica:) 
But today is gonna be a little different.  I'm going to blog about HONEY and the High Tea Waffle Set from Kosnica.


Seriously, before today's tasting I had no idea honey could be such a hard topic. Today, one of the Kosnica's founders Zack shares a little of his knowledge about honey with us. 
Apart from Gelato ice cream and waffle, Kosnica also brings in Trigona Itama Honey. 
Since Trigona Itama Honey naturally contains 23-25% water, it looks a bit more watery than other types of honey. By the way, Trigona Itama are stingless bees...bet you didn't know that ;p


Trigona Itama Honey is famous in China.
But...Kosnica is the only place you can get it in Singapore.
In its raw form, it has higher PPF than Manuka honey (I didn't know that, yes I'm noooobbbb)


Did you know?  Honey comes  from Malaysia, China and Australia 
Anyway, Trigona honey is not seasonal as it is from the tropical region. Hence its quality is consistent and not affected by weather changes.

As for the taste, it's a little different from those we usually eat or drink.....hmmm lol
It's gently sour with a subtle sweet aftertaste.
It is best to drink it raw instead of mixing with water since it has anti-bacterial properties. As general rule, mixing honey with water decreases its effectiveness.
It has additional health benefit such as boosting anti-oxidant, improving immune system and anti- aging. But it is recommended that we drink at most 2 tablespoon a day.

We had 2 sets of high tea set today.

                                       

I thought it wouldn't be too fillig but I was wrong! It is very filling... Ideally 2 persons can share a set or maybe I'm a small eater erm mayyybeeeee lol
This high tea set is selling at $9.90 with a scoop of Gelato Ice cream and a drink.

                                        
You're offered a choice of three flavours for the waffle: Buttermilk, Red Velvet and matcha.
The choice of ice cream will be from the full range that Kosnica has. That's tempting right? 


Personally, I like their waffle. It is very crispy and filling. It's not the fluffy type. Neither is it the heavy kind. It's really just right.


As for drinks...well...you can see from the pics. And the decoration is very cute right? 
This time round, I'm still having tea as usual but it's a different type of tea:) hahaha
